Cookie policy

This cookie policy (hereinafter the "Policy") explains which cookies and similar technologies the online store scematique.com (hereinafter the "Website") uses, why, and how the User can manage them. It supplements the Privacy policy. The Website belongs to the individual entrepreneur (FOP) Olena Arseniivna Mikhailutsa, whose details are set out in the Terms of service.

1. What cookies are

1.1 Cookies are small text files that the Website stores in the User's browser during a visit.

1.2 The Website also uses similar technologies: browser local storage and pixels. In this Policy, all of them are referred to as "cookies".

2. Cookies used on the Website

2.1 Necessary. They make the cart, checkout and account work, remember language and currency, protect the Website and its forms against fraud and spam (Shopify, hCaptcha) and store the User's cookie choice. They are always active, as the Website cannot work without them.

2.2 Analytics. Shopify visit statistics: which pages are viewed and how Users arrive at the Website. Active exclusively with the User's consent.

2.3 Marketing. The Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram) to measure advertising, and the Notify Me pixel for back-in-stock alerts. Active exclusively with the User's consent.

3. Retention periods

3.1 Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies are kept from a few days up to 2 (two) years, depending on their purpose, or until the User deletes them.

4. Consent and cookie settings

4.1 On the first visit, the Website displays a banner in which the User chooses which categories of cookies to allow. Analytics and marketing cookies are not set until consent is given.

4.2 The User may change their choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the Website.

4.3 The Website honours the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out from marketing cookies.

4.4 The User may also delete or block cookies in their browser settings. If necessary cookies are blocked, the cart and checkout may not work.
